Kiedyś Rynek Główny, po połączeniu Podgórza i Krakowa – Rynek Podgórski. W 1900 roku jako pierwszy plac na terenie obecnego Krakowa został oświetlony światłem elektrycznym. Nową nawierzchnię zyskał w 1962 roku i ponownie w 2015 roku w setną rocznicę połączenia obu miast. Tak jak kiedyś, również dziś, czasem zmienia się w plac targowy.

It used to be the Main Market Square, but after the merger of Podgórze and Kraków, it became the Podgórski Square. In 1900, it was the first square in present-day Cracow to be illuminated with electric light. It gained a new surface in 1962 and again in 2015 on the hundredth anniversary of the merger of the two cities. As in the past, it is sometimes transformed into a market square.
