Budynek Oekonomie Gebaeude wzniesiony pod koniec XVIII w., wkrótce po złożeniu Wolnego Królewskiego Miasta Podgórza. Pełnił wiele funkcji m.in. magistratu, szkoły i kościoła, a po przebudowie stał się koszarami c.k. kawalerii. W dniu 31 października 1918 zostały, jako pierwsze, wyzwolone, przez porucznika Antoniego Stawarza, podczas akcji wyzwalania Krakowa spod władzy zaborczej. Po pożarze, koszary zostały rozebrane na początku lat 1950.

The picture shows the building of Oekonomie Gebaeude, erected at the end of the 18th century, shortly after the deposit of The Royal Free City of Podgórze. It served many functions, including a magistrate, school and church. After reconstruction, it became the barracks of the cavalry. On 31 October 1918 the barracks were the first to be liberated by Lieutenant Antoni Stawarz during the action of liberating Cracow from the partitioning power. After the fire, the barracks were demolished in the early 1950s.
