Powstała przy ul. Kalwaryjskiej dla żołnierzy z sąsiadującej z nią koszar c.k. kawalerii. W 1953 roku w tym miejscu rozpoczęła się budowa „kombinatu” sportowego KS Korona. Do 1959 roku powstał budynek frontowy i hala sportowa, w 1966 roku ukończono krytą pływalnię.

It was created in Kalwaria Street for soldiers from the neighbouring barracks of the cavalry. In 1953 the construction of the KS Korona sports centre began in this place. Until 1959 the front building and sports hall were built, and in 1966 the indoor swimming pool was completed.
