Dynia olbrzymia

Microgreens Basil

Sowing time: any time of the year

Sowing depth: on the top of the soil

Hydrate the substrate – Place a coconut fiber disc at the bottom of the container. Add water and let it expand into a soft, moist growing base.

Sow lightly – Sprinkle basil seeds sparsely and evenly over the surface.

Mist and cover – Lightly spray with water. Close the container loosely to retain humidity.

Germinate in the dark – Keep in a warm, dark place (20–25°C). Basil needs darkness to sprout.

Vent daily – Briefly open the lid each day to allow air circulation.

Uncover after sprouting – After 4–6 days, when most seeds have sprouted, place in bright but indirect light.

Harvest – Cut microgreens above the base once they reach 5–7 cm, typically after 12–16 days.
