About park
Its crater-like shape is attributable to its location in place of a former, demolished and buried Austrian fortification that belonged to Cracow Fortress (Fort 9 Krowodrza). It is also known as the ‘Old Park’. The central point of the park is the green area with alleys, benches and a playground for children. There are numerous cycles lanes for young cyclists. The alleys are adapted to the needs of the disabled. Mighty chestnut trees provide shade in summer.
